How to Manage Custom Foods (Create, Edit, and Copy)
This article explains how to add and edit foods in your "My Foods" list to build up your own curated library of foods. This can be useful when you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for in the ProTracker Plus online database.

How to Create a Custom Food
You can create your own custom foods and add them to your "My Foods" list.
- Go to the Diary tab
- Tap “Add Food” in a meal period to bring up the food search interface
- Tap "+", and select "Create Food"
- When finished, tap "Save" (top right corner)
The food is now saved to your "My Foods" list. You can find it by scrolling through the "My Foods" list or it by using the search bar.
How to Edit a Custom Food
You only need to make changes in one place; it will sync across all of your devices.
- Go to the Diary tab
- Tap “Add Food” in a meal period to bring up the food search interface
- Find the food you want to edit in your "My Foods" list
- Tap the food (or tap the three dots to the right of the item)
- Tap "Edit Nutrients"
- When finished, tap "Save" (top right corner)
How to Copy a Custom Food
You can make a copy of one of your saved custom foods if you need to create a new food with similar nutritional values.
- Go to the Diary tab
- Tap “Add Food” in a meal period to bring up the food search interface
- Find the food you want to copy in your "My Foods" list
- Tap the food (or tap the three dots to the right of the item)
- Tap "Make a Copy"
- Tap "Copy Food" to confirm
- A new copy will appear in your "My Foods" list which can now be further edited
