How to Manage Recipes (Create, Edit, and Copy)
You can create recipes in ProTracker Plus to make logging complicated meals quick and easy! We’ll walk you through creating and editing recipes in the ProTracker Plus app.
How to Create a Recipe
- Go to the Diary tab
- Tap “Add Food” in a meal period
- Tap "+", and select "Create Recipe"
- Name your recipe
- Enter the "Number of Servings" to determine how many portions your recipe should be divided into
- Tap "Add Ingredients" to add each ingredient in full (e.g. 1 pound ground beef, 1 cup refried beans, 2 medium tomatoes)
- When finished, tap "Save" (top right corner)
The recipe is now saved to your "Recipes" list. You can find it by scrolling through the "Recipes" list or it by using the search bar.
Note: You can also use the search bar to find your saved recipes based on their ingredients (try it out)!
How to Edit a Recipe
You only need to make changes in one place; it will sync across all of your devices.
- Go to the Diary tab
- Tap “Add Food” in a meal period to bring up the food search interface
- Find the recipe you want to edit in your "Recipes" list
- Tap the recipe (or tap the three dots to the right of the item)
- Tap "Edit Ingredients"
- When finished, tap "Save" (top right corner)
How to Copy a Recipe
You can make a copy of one of one of your saved recipes if you need to create a new recipe with similar ingredients.
- Go to the Diary tab
- Tap “Add Food” in a meal period to bring up the food search interface
- Find the recipe you want to copy in your "Recipes" list
- Tap the recipe (or tap the three dots to the right of the item)
- Tap "Make a Copy"
- Tap "Copy Recipe" to confirm
- A new copy will appear in your "Recipes" list which can now be further edited
