What is the Calories, or Points Adjustment in my Exercise Diary?

This article explains how the calories, or points adjustment works in your exercise diary when you've enabled a third-party fitness app activity integration.

TL;DR

You won't start seeing an adjustment in your diary until the activity reported by your device goes past the daily activity level you set in your goals (i.e., Sedentary, Lightly Active, Moderately Active, Very Active, Extremely Active).

How do I understand the calories, or points adjustment breakdown?

ProTracker Plus pulls your calorie burn directly from whichever third-party fitness app activity integration you've enabled. Since third-party devices track minute to minute, and our program views the entire day as a whole, we then project forward to the end of the day based on your calorie burn so far. When viewing your adjustment in the diary, you should see a number to the left of the activity entry, which represents the instant sync, and a number to the right of the activity entry which represents our projection for the day based on your current sync.

Because the adjustment value is recalculated every time your device uploads new data, you should expect this value to change over the course of the day. It is also necessary to make sure your third-party device and your iPhone are set to the same time zones. At midnight, the projected sync and your actual sync should then match exactly. Depending on when you last sync, there may be a slight variation between one day and the next as the two values catch up to each other.

You can disable negative adjustments from the Profile page.
